These improved engine bushings with ingenious void inserts reduce the amount of movement by filling in the voids in the mounts with softer compound polyurethane. Limiting engine and transmission movement in the MINI Cooper has many benefits, smoother power transmission to the wheels eliminating the intense wheel hop when spinning the tires, less movement of the shifter cables allowing the transmission gears to stay fully connected, less flex on all connected turbo engine components including the exhaust system.
